OLD BOYS DONATE TO THEIR ALMA MATER
The school was blessed with visits from many groups of old boys who has contributed generously to their alma mater. A recent contribution of RM11,400.00 was received from the Form 5 students from the Class of 1965. The contribution is for the purchase of 150 sets of tables and chairs for the Jeannie Cheong Lean Eng Building.
We are also grateful to other groups who have visited the school and contributed over RM10,000.00 each. The groups included Class 5A of 1954, Class 5A of 1964, Class of 1974 and Upper Sixers of 1965. The latest donation is the sum of RM11,228.00. It is from the Fifth Formers from the Class of 1960. Thank you one and all.
The school is indeed very grateful and touched by the generosity of our alumni in helping out in the school’s development.
APRIL ‘SHOWERS’ IN MBS
MBS was blessed with many beautiful “April Showers”. The school held its school sports at the school field on 22nd April 2006. It was officiated by DCM Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee, the Chief Police Officer of Penang. DCP Datuk Christopher Wan was an alumnus of MBS in 1965. The event was also attended by Datuk Lim Cheng Chuan, Chairman of the Board of Governors (dark glasses), Mr. Toh Kim Hock, Assistant District Education Officer (in batik) and Dr. Cheah Hock San (Board Member – left). Other guests included Mrs. Andre Looi, MBS PTA Chairman and Mr. Tan Lee Sin, ACS Union President.
