As the webmaster is away from Penang, he relied on emails from the school to be able to update the website. This is both troublesome and frustrating for all parties as by the time the new content is up, it is already outdated.

By having a blog this problem is solved because the school can directly update new content without having to go through the webmaster. Thus, the middleman is rendered obsolete and readers will be able to read news as soon as it happens. The Blogger platform is chosen because it makes publishing simple enough for non-tech savvy users to update the blog.
